Overlooking the Mississippi, across from the casino and next to the French Quarter, this "right-by-all-the-action" mid-rise is "solid in all ways"; the "basic" rooms are small, but the beds boast "crisp linens" and "down comforters and pillows"; more "discouraging" are the "hidden" charges for valet-only parking (which "feels like a rip-off"), fridges and Internet; luckily, the "helpful service" is included.

Close to the French Quarter. Good location.
Parking is very expensive and not close to hotel unless you use the valet service.
This hotel was in a great location close to the French Quarter. The room was clean, but the tub needed some attention. The bed was okay but not the most comfortable. But walking all over the French Quarter made me so exhausted that I was able to sleep all night even though I would awaken the next morning with a horrible back ache from the terrible mattress. ...read more
